Angermünde
Our country hotel at the Felchowsee is located about ten kilometers from the historic old town of Angermünde. This is easily accessible by bus, bicycle or as a hiking destination. Almost two thirds of Angermünde’s urban area are part of the large protected areas Lower Odertal National Park and Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve. The city serves as a link between the two national parks.
Lower Odertal National Park
The Lower Odertal National Park is Germany’s only floodplain national park. It is home to numerous rare animal and plant species and is increasingly becoming an attraction for nature-based and sustainable tourism. Our partnership with the Lower Odertal National Park is one of many nature tourism initiatives that meet the minimum standards of the umbrella organization EUROPARC Deutschland e. V..
Schwedt
The national park town, named only a few years ago, impresses not only with its picturesque location on the river, but also with its rich variety of sights and recreational opportunities. Founded in the 17th century by Huguenot religious refugees, it still holds many reminders of this turbulent time in the form of historic buildings and street names.
