The cultural highlight is the festival held by UBS every summer on the Oder Valley Stage in Hugenottenpark. With theater performances, musicals, concerts and a colorful family program. The motto “Summer on the River” is taken literally here and promises summer cultural enjoyment under the open sky – and with a unique view over the Lower Odertal.<\/p>\n

And the Uckermark Music Week also transforms the region into a huge concert hall: when first-class open-air concerts are held in a wide variety of concert venues, from warehouses and stables to barns and manor houses, or in the open air.<\/p>\n

The town of Schwedt, not far from our country hotel, once experienced its heyday due to the tobacco cultivation and trade of the Huguenots who settled here. The tobacco factories, barns and tobacco warehouses are still visible in the townscape of Schwedt and the surrounding area. Visitors can learn all about this exciting period on a tobacco tour and during a visit to the Vierraden Tobacco Museum.<\/p>\n

The former 17th century castle garden behind the Uckerm\u00e4rkische B\u00fchnen Schwedt building is now called European Huguenot Park. The Huguenot cross in the park along the Hohensaaten-Friedrichsthal waterway symbolizes the long journey of the Huguenots to the Uckermark.<\/p>\n

The Cistercian monastery Chorin in the Schorfheide is one of the highlights in Brandenburg. A fascinating brick Gothic monument, which also hosts regular medieval festivals and “Chorin Music Summer” (classical concerts). about half an hour by car or two hours by bike from the hotel.<\/p>\n
