Cycling in the Uckermark: Roll over lush hills, enjoy the endless panoramic views, take a break at one of the over 400 lakes and maybe dive into the crystal clear water, cycle for miles through deep wild forests, spot birds like cranes and storks, discover old medieval town walls, churches or ancient alleys of fruit trees right next your cycle paths.
Many bike enthusiasts, who regularly travel between the rivers Havel and Oder, will gladly confirm: The Uckermark is ideal place to be explored by bicycle. The close-nit cycle path network leads you to almost any corner of the Uckermark – especially to all the scenic highlights.
But be aware: Although the region is placed in a rather flat area in Germany the trade mark hills of the Uckermark can be a surprising challenge at times. But rest assured: after a short climb there will always be a smooth way down. And if you use your momentum cleverly you’ll master the hills with ease.
The national, splendidly constructed and well sign-posted tracks like the Oder-Neiße-Cyclepath (Oder-Neiße-Radweg) und the long-distance-cycle paths such as Berlin-Usedom and Berlin-Kopenhagen are ideal if you plan to enter the Uckermark from Berlin or the Baltic Sea. Because all the cyclepaths interlink within the region it is easy to explore the Uckermark by bike.

If you want a “hill-free-flatness-guarantee” for your cycle route, then we recommend the Oder-Neiße-Cycle path – which can be reached very quickly from our hotel.
If you fancy circling around the whole Uckermark then you should embark on the 260 km long Uckermark circle bike path (Uckermärkische Radrundweg) or on one of its sections. This very scenic path is situated very close to our hotel as well.
Again and again you will discover magnificent places that invite you to marvel and to picnic. Just get on and off your saddle to explore the beauty of the Uckermark to get that unique feeling of peace and freedom that only cycling can give you.
